Dr. Lauren is awesome. I couldnt get an appointment with my regular vet for my cat and Derry Animal Hospital was able to get me in within a week. My kitty had a strange small growth on his skin on his side and when I took him to dr. Lauren and she fully examined him she found that he had a substantial Mass on his kidney. 7 months prior to this appointment he was diagnosed with crystallization of his kidneys but there was no Mass . Apparently whatever this new Mass was it was very aggressive . She gave us many options on how to proceed, tests, unnecessary meds (her words and I agreed) that would only cause more problems for my 14 year old babe. We decided to treat him with Charlottes Web and let him live out his days without invasive procedures. In just a few short days his health diminished and I was able to get an appointment to have him euthanized a day later. Dr. Lauren was very compassionate and patient and also administered the injection into his stomach instead of upsetting him while trying to find a vein. He went very peacefully and comfortably. This was only my second time seeing dr. Lauren and I am so impressed with her that I am transferring the rest of my animals to her care. Thank you dr. Lauren and Derry Animal Hospital for your compassion during this most emotional time.

I do not have one bad thing to say about Dr.Shenk and Derry Animal Hospital. I have taken my standard poodle to Dr.Shenk since she was a puppy. Recently my dog passed away after a battle with lymphoma. Dr.Shenk diagnosed and treated my dog from the start, he offered me different treatments and explained the process and side effects of treatments, he also gave his medical and personal opinion which helped me decide what was best for my dog. Dr.Shenk and his staff were kind, caring, comforting and most importantly showed true love and compassion for my sick poodle. Dr.Shenk took time to explain why my dog had lymphoma and what to expect from it. I never felt rushed by Dr.Shenk or his staff; the time he took with me was amazing, he never got annoyed with my multiple questions. I am an anxious pet mother and called him multiple times with many questions, each call I made was answered promptly and thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr.Shenk to any pet parent, he is the best vet I have ever met and I could not imagine taking my pets to anyone else.

Wonderful - Kind - Caring! I just moved to the area and needed to find a vet for my 2 dogs. I went in today to get my dogs their exams, cavvines,schedule some dental cleaning, and my Great Dane had an infection in his paw. I was very pleased and will say in the 15yrs of taking pets to different vets in various states - Dr. Shenk is by far the best vet & vet office I have ever been to. He spent a lot of time with me, answering my long lists of questions, explaining everythin in detail, made great conversation, and really looked over every inch of each of my pets. My Dane is not fond of strangers, and Dr. Shenk and his assistant put him at ease right away, and actually did a lot of the exam sitting on the floor with my dog (he lays down when he is nervous) to make him more comfortable. Half way thru the visit, my Dane was totally happy and comfortable.What a GREAT VET. I am so pleased with my visit and the kindness of everyone in the office I didnt even pay attention to the bill (which was reasonable for the services).

Dr.lauren is great.she took over for dr.shenk who retired.dr shenk was my cats vet for years.on my last visit with dr.shenk he said she will keep place the same.and add new up to date things.so I went back to the same office with my cat peanut .he was my moms cat .she is now in Manor care.so peanut became mine.he had upper respiratory problem.dr.lauren was so nice and treats the pets great.she was great with peanut.she is very professional and compassionate with the animals.i will stay a client with Derry animal hospital.i am so glad Jason is still there he is great..Jason was the best asset at Dr .shenk office.and he is still a great asset now.he really cares and is very patient with all my questions.dont you go any where jason.me and my pets need to see you.it makes the office familiar.still a client Dorothy Wissler and Angel Rivera.and pets.

It is an awful time when dealing with "end of life" and hospice care for our 4 legged Beloveds. That is when I met Dr Lauren. My two 18 year old brother cats were her patients. Dr Laurens compassion, reassurance and support was incredible. I have had dogs and cats my whole adult life with many good Vets along the way. She is by far the best in her diagnoses and treatment and follow up. If she says she will call, she does. Losing my last 2 of 3 brothers within months after having them and their Mama cat with me since birth was so traumatic. Dont know how I would have navigated it without Dr. Lauren. She was wonderful and the prices are fair compared to my other experiences. I easily refer my friends to her. Jason was also just great.

I met Dr. Lauren under unfortunate circumstances. My cat was suffering a neurological issue, and I was struggling with what to do. She came to us through Lap of Love, a service that comes to your house so your pet can stay in the own home to say goodbye. I was so impressed by her caring and compassionate manner. I sought her out when my senior dog became sick. She treated my dog like her own. She didnt pressure me to do anthing I couldnt afford or wasnt comfortable with. But, she did give me options and advice. I ended up losing my girl due to the problems getting worse. But, I recently got a puppy, and we are back there. The staff is great! We love them. Couldnt ask for a better vet so close to home.

I called the office to see about getting my kitty an appointment because she has been pacing the house crying all day (which is not her usual behavior) I explained to the receptionist how she is acting and told her the cat was estimated at about 7 months old. Right away she asked me questions concerning how my other cat is acting toward her and said it seems like the cat is just in heat. She gave me usual behaviors which match my cat perfectly. The willingness to help over the phone is impressive considering an appointment would cost me money. I will definitely schedule the cats spay at this clinic. Great customer service.

This place is horrible since Dr Shenk left last year. All Dr Lauren is worried about is money. Dr Lauren and her husband have NO COMPASION!!! Its so sad because she was going to run it just like Dr Shenk and she IS NOT!!!!! You take your dog to a vet because its cheaper and not for your vet to call you and tell you to take your dog to an emergency clinic because they cant get my elderly dog in for 10 days. Thats bullcrap! If i would of agreed to pay more money for the office visit then they would of gotten my dog in. They are money hungry!!!!!!! Dont take your dogs there !!!!!
