I just moved into the area and needed a vet for my cat and dog. On my first experiance with this clinic I needed to get my indoor cats nails clipped. Since becoming a adult he fights even when i have my husband help me but for some reason he lies still when its done at the vet and the cost is usually about $6. I called this clinic to make the appt and was told they do not take appts only walk ins. A few days later me and my husband stopped by the clinic with our cat and waited in line for the staff to get back from lunch. There was one picticular woman who was very preditory to be sure she was the first to be seen first because she "got there first." After about an hour wait timethe 3 of us went into the little room with Dr. Woodard. I brought our cat in the typical cat carrier and watched in horror as this Vet tried to PULL my precious baby out of the carrier my his ARMS near the paws ( it was all he could reach through the little door and my cat of course wasnt going to come out willingly) I apruptly stopped the Vet and shown him that if he took off the top of the carrier he would have easy access. As the Vet was clipping my cats claws ( I had to now help hold my cat who by this point was so upset by the vet "bedside manner". I litterally fought off feelings of wanting to smack him for grabbing more then once at my kittys beautiful tail)... he preceeded to tell me that I could get my husband to help me at home.....DUH...I wouldnt be at the vets office if we could do it together at home and would save the $6 a mo. AND my time. While the Vet turned around to write in my cats brand new chart I mouthed in silence toward my husband " we are NOT coming back!". In closing,...my cat just turned 4 yrs old and has been going to his previous Vet for 3/4 of his life every mo for his nails to be clipped. Various vet techs and vet partners have handled my cat with love and care. Maybe Dr Woodward isnt a cat person?

This vet may be very good.. I wouldnt know because he wouldnt see my cat. I have a cat who was in dire straits this morning. My regular vet was booked solid so, instead of asking them to squeeze me in between appointments, I figured Id just go to Village. Id been told Village doesnt take appointments .. that everyone is seen on a 100% walk-in basis. Before going there, I checked both Villages google page (they dont have a website) and called their voicemail to find out what their hours were, and was told M-F 9am-noon and 1pm-5pm. So I showed up this morning (Friday) at 9:05am and was told "Oh, we dont see patients till 1pm on Thursdays and Fridays because the doctor does surgeries those mornings." I told them my situation with the cat, as well as the fact that there was no mention of a doctor not being available till 1pm on Fridays on their voicemail, and asked if they could please make exception since my cat was in such a bad way and I had driven 40 minutes to get there. After waiting 10 minutes, a technician popped her head out and told me the vet wouldnt be available till after 1pm. In other words "We dont give a crap about your cat or the fact you drove all the way out here because we gave you wrong information about our hours, were busy." I shouldve paid more attention to the previous 1-star review they received from another client (theres always a reason for bad reviews). I will NEVER darken their doorstep again.

I love Village Veterinary Clinic! The vet and his assistant are always friendly, helpful and care about animals. I have brought in two abandoned kittens we found, got in without a long wait and they did everything they could to help them. They are now members of our family! Highly recommend!

Dr. Woodard is great. He performed surgery on our oldest dog and did a great job. Our little dog got a bone locked on her jaw on Friday night and when I called he met us at the clinic and removed the bone. He really cares about animals and is available at any time.
