The staff is friendly. The doctor is very particular about giving out prescriptions and poking the pet with injections for small things like separation anxiety. The doc capitalizes on the fear of fur-parents. I took my dog in twice 3 months apart because he was throwing up (and I freaked out), the first time doc poked my poor dog with 4 injections: one for redness due to scratching, one for nausea, ..... etc... and the second time poked my dog with another injection, did X-ray (nothing was wrong) and suggested pancreatic surgery... they could have simply told me it was a case of separation anxiety. ...the doctor is very money minded.

We have used this vet over the years for general shots and regular check ups. Sadly when anything other than general care is needed this veterinarians office is very lacking- including the office staff. We have been given medicine and shampoo for allergy issues and then been told by another vet that it was wrong. We have had a dog in pain and they couldnt get the pet in for another few days....even though their open almost everyday. Just not a very good veterinarian clinic. Find somewhere else and save yourself time, money and frustration!

I recently moved to West U and my 3 year old Yorkie was attacked by a large dog at the dog park. The staff at West U was MARVELOUS! They helped Sammy right away and they calmed me down. He had to have stitches and he had to stay overnight. Everything was very affordable and they really care about your pets well being. This is my new vet and if you care deeply for your pet you should see if they can become yours too! They also work closely with local rescue groups to help with Houstons homeless pet population! AWESOME!!

My 2 cats and a dog have been seen different vets at this office. I recently saw the office for some bloodwork for my cat. The staff and vets were incapable of preparing the right blood sample for the tests. It seemed that they are not trained and are not willing to read up on tests that are may be not very common to order. This was a very unpleasant experience and I dont feel that my cat has been taken care off at all. All they cared about is the money that I needed to pay for the tests.

Awesome hours and really wonderful staff. Our dogs have been long-time patients at another vet clinic, and we had a last-minute emergency after our vets office was closed. My dog had a massive cut needing stitches on his abdomen, and we were able to bring him in as they were closing their doors. They stayed open late to help us out. We had such a great experience that we have turned over all of our pets records to this clinic for regular care. GREAT neighborhood addition.

We would take our dog there for the same problem 3-4 times and they couldnt figure it out. All she had was allergies and my new vet fixed her scratching problem after the first visit. I dont trust them to do anything other than do an annual physical.

I was referred by a friend last year when my dog became very ill. Dr. Bryant performed my dogs surgery, and shes a wonderful vet. The staff was great, answered all my questions, worked me in for appointments.
