Where do I begin. This hospital is beyond unethical. Their front end staff to the ER looks like they had their training videos come out of Season 1 of Scrubs. The people here and everybody associated in the medical field need to take their job seriously. You have peoples well being in hand. Your rudeness, condensending nature or lack of empathy NEVER helps. The nurses...your at work...I dont know...WORK. Look it up in the dictionary if that helps. It has a meaning. The nurses here joke around loudly with no leadership in their building like this is welfare check for them. I manage 250 people who report to me. My staff has high morale and my staff gets the job done. Nobody is to blame but the administrators in this joke of hospital. Laredo is such an amazing city and it hurts me that the city has this unethical hell hole associated with it. Their billing department will bill you for things you didnt even get in services. In lieu of trying being ethical they have no remorse all the way up in management. One of my salaried managers who works for me used this place to take care of his mom and he ran out of there due to the utter incompetence. Good new his mom is better after being treated at Laredo medical center. The city should condemn this hospital for the major ethical issues. I plan to take this to the better business bureau, press and city. These reviews in the droves are not a hoax. Its a reality. Let me teach you business 101...if so many people give you one star and comment the same things should you look within yourself to address that matter at hand? Or is your entire leadership in some sort of denial? You guys run a scam. Your ER is a joke. Train your people! Your leadership in the ER is a joke. Whoever runs that wing should be fired. Front end and nurses laugh and I witnessed them be rude to countless patients. Give patients respect and empathy...do they realize they work at a hospital?? If ones insurance isnt covered or partially covered I dont know: tell the patient. Dont let the patient walk in and bill them to death. Tell them on their way out at bare minimum or in the beginning what they can expect; an estimation not a quote. Adding things you werent given in the bill is beyond unethical. Your ER doctors are a joke. I hope all utilize ER clinics in Laredo vs. this scam (Doctors Hospital) as every urgent care clinic has been 1 million % more ethical and professional. The doctors also seem very qualified. Your hospital for a fact is the only staff and medical facility Ive witnessed have such unethical and crude behavior. Every physician, clinic and specialist in this city Ive come across has been great...its only Doctors Hospital. Two words. Horrible Leadership. Lastly, this is Texas: your staff needs to be taught to say Sir and Maam to everybody if not get the hell out of Texas. And if you think your fooling the intelligent people in this town with your staff giving five stars and copy paste rhetoric from your PR team who Im sure is watching Netflix and copy and pasting away...get a grip. Youre not fooling anybody.

I was there about a year & a half ago, for about a month,fever 24/7 the cytomegalovirus was attacking my internal organs!! I was extremely ill at the mercy of these nurses,2 of the nurses were okay, professional & attentive. But the cleaning people never wanted to come clean my room,. nor,the nurses or assistant wanted to. bring me a simple damn container of water, since i was on fluids for almost a month!!!! Can u imagine??? It was filthy, unclean. I Didnt even wanna bathe in a bathroom smelling like urinals, since the day i checked in!! Some nurses were texting to their boyfriends, friends,¬ hospital related ..cuz u know when its a Hospital call.& gossiping was massive : i even had to tell 2 of the nurses gossip later, give me my meds lady!!!! They dont pay you to gossip, they pay you to be a nurse or nurse assistant: to aid the patients!!not to be at night time behind a desk or closed door talking on their cell phones, which i saw so much; boy those people working at doctors hospital, need. BIG. CHANGES !!! I dont think thats eeeeever. Gonna happen! Because everyone always covers each others ass when they do wrong!!! So, there you go ; i hear people going morecto mercy hospital now....&one last thing,how can a nurse practicioner, take the place of a medical doctor, who has studied for years, & is so much more knowledgeable than a n.p. who are diagnosing us as if they are doctors!!" Really??? Excuse me???NO!!!!!!!people take your family to an M.D. not a N.P.. DO THE RIGHT THING!! GET THE PROPER DIAGNOSIS , FOR. your. & your familys health & life:

So I have major right side pain, sickness. First walk in no one spoke or paid attention. This happened to several people. They took a while to call me, I understand its a hospital, ERs are like that. Took me to the triage room. Gave me pain meds that did not work. Put in an IV and gave me meds then sent me back to the waiting room. Im vomiting so you gave me water and a pill. Which came back up while in the waiting room which no staff noticed. They did xrays. Finally took me back to triage to say no obstruction and sent me home. Bacially said nothing is wrong with me. Im like hold on that does not explain the major pain, sickness....I cant eat solid food!!!! The gentleman working with me ignored me because he was talking personal stuff with an EMT, the blonde didnt know how to answer me she just stood there and the other young lady told me to try the medications. Even as bad as University Medical center is in Florida you at least get to speak with a doctor. I read the reviews prior but I was in so much pain I didnt have a choice.

Nov.26, 2015... While waiting for my girlfriend to be ready to start delivering my baby the nurse would come on to see how much progress she has so far. First time - the nurse checked vaginaly and washed hands within 8 seconds, no joke I counted, including all steps to "Properly wash hands". Second time - same thing and this time around she did not washed hands at all. Third time - same procedure to my girlfriend and this time the RN TOOK THE GLOVE !!! Same nurse and to my amaze it was no CNA it was the RN. Also the three times she did not rolled over her sleeves that were in her whrists. I think they might be understaffed since they took around 40 minutes to turn off the machines and blame it on us for not letting them know that the machines were beeping. Not recommended.

Yea they help you out quick and I like the doctor that helped me out when I went its the stuff they dont tell you that get me upset I got my bill and read you can do a payment plan so of course I call well wait 20 mins no answer called again later on for 25 mins no answer so woke up this morning and said why not try again so the 3rd time after 15 someone answers within a second the guy say no we cant help its not over a certain limit. So I ask again and of course these people being rude he said I told you already we cant do anything, so I waste more then a hour of my time to get nothing, so you bet I will be choosing to go somewhere different next time.
