Im new to Phoenix and shortly after I moved here my two front teeth (previously crowned) cracked, creating a situation where I could no longer eat solid food. Fortunately, (or so I thought at the time) the very next day I received a mailer from Desert Dentistry. I did some checking and decided that, since they are local to me and had positive reviews I would make an appointment. During my initial consultation, the doctor indicated that three teeth should be extracted, and that I should be fitted for a partial. No surprise there. He also advised me that it would take a few days after the impression was taken to have the partial made, at which time I would be notified of the partials arrival and I could make an appointment for the extractions and the partial fitting at the same time so that I would not be walking around with a hole in my face where my three front teeth had been. I heartily agreed. The impression was taken that first appointment, I made a 250- payment against the cost of the partial and within a few days I received a voice mail that the partial had arrived in their office. I called to make an evening appointment and was informed that they were booked solid for the Monday evening appointments (the only day they do evening appointments) FOR THE NEXT FOUR WEEKS. After that shock subsided, I realized that I probably wouldnt starve to death eating just soup and yogurt for a month, so I went ahead and made the appointment for the following month. Unfortunately during that month, the condition of the cracked teeth worsened to the point where my two front teeth were falling out of my mouth, and I had to use denture adhesive to hold them in just so I could go to work, let alone eat any kind of real food (Ive lost 8 lbs. so far). FINALLY the day of my appointment arrived (today) and I was SO excited to be rid of these teeth and get the partial in so I could EAT, but unfortunately it was not to be. When I arrived at the office I was told that I would have to pay for the balance owed on the partial (85-) and for the three extractions (600-) in full BEFORE any work was performed. I indicated that I had 200- in my checking account and that my employer will direct deposit my paycheck in two days, so could they take the 200- out of my account now and the rest out of the account in a couple of days and THEY SAID NO. I said that had I been able to get an appointment two weeks ago the money would have been there. They said I would have to wait until my paycheck was direct deposited and then I could reschedule and wait ANOTHER FOUR WEEKS FOR AN OPENING. I waited almost FIVE WEEKS for them, and they couldnt wait two days for me. I paid the 85- balance on the partial and took it with me. I will have another dental firm do the extractions and tell this story to anyone who cares to listen.

Great staff, very friendly. My first time here they gave me a tour of the place and even gave me a free gift bag. But I would not recommend coming here for wisdom teeth removal ... I was told I only needed 3 removed because I mentioned I wanted braces, I trusted in them that the three removed would be good enough because they stated that the 4th one didnt "look like it would be giving problems" Well I went in for surgery and all they gave me was the anesthetic shots to the gums to num it. I was awake the whole time, I felt the tugging and pulling, heard the breaking of the teeth and smelled the drilling of my wisdom teeth being removed.. I was prescribed Vicodin but was allergic so I called the next day "Friday" only to see that they were closed.. So I had to go without any medicine for the aftermath of the surgery.. They were nice but I wish I could of had a better experience , I wont ever come back to this location, but its my own fault for not paying extra to go to an oral surgeon to get better serviced for the wisdom teeth. Now I have to find an oral surgeon to get the 4th one removed since they said "there was no need to get it removed" Other than that they were friendly. Just go here for regular stuff like cleaning.. No surgeries because you really dont want horrible memories that I unfortunately have.

We experienced the best service a person could ask for with this Dental Office. It started from as early as the call just to schedule the appointment with friendly-easy to communicate with staff. When we arrived we were greeted and given a tour of the office and explained what everything was. Explained exactly what our patient responsibility was. Doctor Collins was amazing with my daughter- explaining the procedure to her and he has a gift to put people at ease. Both Dr. Collins and his assistant were so gentle with my daughter who was nervous as ever. The service was excellent from start to finish. The office was beautiful and spotless. We will recommend this dental office for sure. Lastly when a doctor takes the time to call after hours and follow up to check on patient who had four wisdom teeth removed that day... that speaks volumes. Thank you.

1st time patient here, went in for emergency appointment because of severe pain. Yolanda was able to get me in as soon i got into town from vacation. As soon as i walked in I was greeted with smiles considering I was a last minute walk in this staff was still able to accomidate to their fullest extent. Dr.Collins and his assistants ruben and beatriz were great and kept me comfortable as i underwent a root canal. Afterwards esmeraldo went through the billing explaining everything and getting me a follow up for a crown to my convenience. Overall great experience will mos def be referring my family and taking my daughted her. Thanks again Dr Collins you have a great professional staff!

The Desert Dentistry staff and Dr. Collins are absolutely amazing! Theyve been a blessing. I have been well informed about all my dental necessities (wisdom teeth removed, fillings, root canals and crowns, cleanings) and in less than 2 years my dental work is complete. They can fit you in same day! My teeth are healthy. Dr. Collins is patient and his work is thorough. Lastly, Id like to add that I appreciate the staffs commitment to giving back to the community. I hope that I find a new dentist in the midwest like Desert Dentistry South Central Phoenix. Thank you all.

Everybody here is super friendly, loving and caring. I always have a great experience. The staff makes you feel welcomed from the minute you walk in. The greatest thing about this place is that there are no long wait times! -as long as youre on time for your appointment. The inside of this place looks very nice and clean. If you want a great dentist, friendly staff, short wait times, and a clean environment, then I highly recommend going to Desert Dentistry in South Phoenix. Definitely worth the drive from Tempe.

I cannot say enough good things about this dental office. Dr. Collins and his staff are absolutely incredible. I have always been afraid of going to the dentist for any type of procedure. Dr Collins and his staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable from the moment I walked into the office. They gave me a tour of the facility which was very clean and sanitary. They went over everything that was needing to be done and let me schedule it at my pace of comfort. I highly recommend Dr Collins !
