Im giving this hospital two stars instead of one because there are some really great people that work there and they genuinely care about their patients. Sadly there are also doctors who stomp into your room and tell you its not their job to help you when they are the one on call that is supposed to help you. There is also an insanely low level of communication between departments and even between people in the same department. Doctors cancel each other orders for no reason, nurses shrug their shoulders and say theres nothing they can do, etc. If you go to this hospital you have to advocate for yourself and scream and shout until someone listens and they get someone that can help you. You have to stay on top of everything and make sure they are giving you the care you need. Im sure that can be said for any hospital but Ive never before experienced craziness like we had for 3 weeks at this hospital. We had to have a family member stay there 24/7 to make sure everything was taken care of. That shouldnt have to happen. The hospital administrators already know about this case. I hope they are learning from it.

Warning: I think their billing department is inept or fraudulent. Why? Because this hospital billed my insurance company for $6,000 for "Drugs". I visited the ER as instructed by my nephrologist to get IV fluids to flush excess calcium out of my system. I received 2 bags of IV fluids, 1 20mg tablet of Prednisone, and a calcitonin shot. The IV fluids were billed separately. Its pretty impossible to imagine under what circumstance the prednisone and calcitonin add up to $6,000. My insurance of course denied payment of that portion of the hospitals claim, and they sent the bill to me. Needless to say, I refused to pay it. Instead, I wrote to them via their online email form and that was a few weeks ago. So far, not a word in response. I expect to receive another bill for the same amount from them, Ill probably have to take them to court over it (and will). Above all, I can no longer trust this hospital, so I wont be going back for help from them unless they correct themselves.

Sutters Hospital staff is the most professional and caring staff in Santa Rosa, My wife had surgery and the way they treated her was AMAZING ! They made sure she was comfortable and kept checking on her, They make you feel like your part of a family by the way they keep coming around and asking if your okay, Surgery was really fast and Dr. Ashley Weinert, Dr. Jennifer Ratcliffe and the entire staff was really amazing, We had bad experiences with other hospitals in the area and were scared to go through another one but Sutter is going to be our Hospital from now on, My babies will be born at that Hospital and I want to Thank everyone there for the excellent job theyre doing ! The nurses called 2 days in a row checking on my wife and they respond to your e-mails fast and efficiently, God Bless the entire staff and I hope the best for each and everyone of them -

I was brought in by ambulance with septic shock, actively trying to die.I was extremely fortunate that everyone there ,from the ER to ICU immediately recognized how sick I was and took life-saving measures. I am a RN and I recognize great care easily. Everyone, MDs, nurses, housekeepers, kitchen staff were absolutely wonderful, so attentive with me and made sure I got everything I needed to get better.I spent a total of 10 days there and so appreciate this the staff at this hospital for their commitment in caring and healing. I have since recommended 2 other friends to your ER and both were extremely pleased with the very professional care received..

I wish I could give less stars. Nurse was aggressively trying to give me a shot, didnt want to wait until I was ready because "I have to many other patients to wait for you to be ready" and kept coming at me with the needle,I was starting to think they were gonna give it without my consent. Didnt wear gloves while touching my bloody wound, my blood was dripping off his hand! Didnt wash my muddy hand before putting it in non sterile warm water to "clean" it. I didnt know it was ok to soak a would in dirty water. Upon discharge I was given no cleaning, bandage change or pain med instructions. Im now at home, it is still bleeding and hurts so bad !!

I had a huge abscess oozing blood and puss, and went to the emergency room. They checked me in, and later, a nurse I suppose, asked me my problem. I told her about the wound, and without even looking under the bandage - SHE NEVER AT ANY TIME EVEN LOOKED AT MY WOUND, however she magically diagnosed it as an "Abscess of left forearm". I told her, and everyone else there that my right (dominant) arm and hand were left unusable, and she did not respond. I left with sheets of paper, and Medicare was billed for no service rendered. I will never go near Sutter S.R. Regional Hospital again, nor would I recommend it to anyone who values their health.

Didnt spend much time waiting to be seen, I was experiencing more of an emotional breakdown reaction to my umbilical hernia, I was very much concerned for my life. The nurses, staff, and doctor were all very understanding, their knowledge and calm demeanor really helped the most, though they have as prescription for a stool softener, it was cheaper to get the generic brand from Rite Aid. The registration was quick and easy, even though the VA orientation says the VA card isnt an insurance card, it still had all the necessary information needed for my VA healthcare coverage.

I just went in at 11:30 P.M at night and was greeted and seen right away at the E.R. The staff was absolutely amazing so polite and caring and they took great care of me. I didnt have insurance and billing me was no problem and they even have financial help too for people like myself who dont have money. I would rate them a 10 for 10 in every single category. Fast, efficient, friendly, and they found out exactly what was wrong with me. I will FOR SURE BE GOING BACK !!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :)

Worst hospital food ever...looks like catered offsite. These folks need to send their cooks to UCSF to see how food should be prepared and presented! Went in healthy and came out with strep throat. Go figure? While in emergency just about every doctor in the building stopped in my cubical to say Hi and introduce themselves. Is this a Pile on billing thing to pay for the new hospital...or just a slow day in the ER? Two days in the cardiac unit = $50,000 + (found nothing).

Got to the ER and waited 1.5 hours before they even checked me in to be put on the waiting list. There was a baby that fell from a highchair head first thats been there with her mom for 3 hours. There was an elderly lady actively bleeding from the head waiting in the waiting room. This is a new hospital but I would have thought they would have thought about how to treat patients based on severity and health conditions.
