I as a patient of Dr. Kristin Beougher for years. She is a GREAT doctor. Last fall I went in because I slipped and fell. I had insurance, but for whatever reason I was asked to pay $160 by the billing department a few weeks after my visit. I had just moved, and didnt think to change my address with the doctors office. One day out-of-the-blue I received the following voice message from Janelle in billing, "YOU HAVE AN OUTSTANDING BILL FOR THIS OFFICE. I NEED YOU TO CALL ME IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! YOU NEED TO CALL ME TO.DAY. (emphasizing each syllable)," and she said a few more things that seemed wildly inappropriate and way too aggressive for a woman that works in a doctors office.. This is a doctors office, not a creditor. A simple, "hey, we noticed your bills have been returned to our office, and we think you might have moved, can we get your new address?" would have been sufficient. I paid the $160 over the phone with my Visa. In March I returned and was told nothing of a balance due from prior visits. Last week I called in because my prescription was running out, and I needed to schedule an appointment. I was told by the scheduler that I had been "dismissed from the practice." What for, I inquired? She then transferred me to the rude and incompetent Janelle on the phone. She curtly said that I had been sent to collections for owing the $160 from October, which I paid and also a bill from March for which they did not bill my insurance carrier for! She rudely said she only has 90 days to submit a bill and it is past that time, and it is my fault that they "probably" didnt have the correct medical insurance information, and now I have been sent to collections. I cannot reiterate enough how RUDE THIS WOMAN IS. She has zero customer service skills whatsoever. Nobody called me or sent me a letter to tell me that I was dismissed from the practice. I recently had a pacemaker installed, and now have no primary care physician to rely on. I am now in the lurch with NO MEDICATIONS and feeling dizzy and unwell basically because Janelle sucks at her job and is a horrible person. Read through the other reviews on this site and you will count at least 2 more people that have had problems with her. I now have to go through old bank records to prove that I paid the October bill, despite Janelles rude incompetence. This woman has damaged my credit report, and caused me to be physically sick since she dismissed me from the practice without medications. Will I go back to the practice after I prove my innocence? HELL NO.

***UPDATED** These guys will try to get you in and get you out with the tip of a hat. I Saw a male Dr whatshisface. I requested a FULL thyroid blood panel test, and they did NOT do what I asked. They left out important tests. He didnt even notate everything we discussed. I did more personal research from home and called back to followup with an ultrasound. HE was the one who suggested the UT, but the front desk or whoever the "office-patient communicator" is told me he doesnt have anything in his notes about it. These people are awful. The office management was rude. ***UPDATE*** Since this office rudely refused to schedule an ultrasound at the time I requested it after my appt I have experienced a substantial amount of hair loss and other continued symptoms before seeking a second opinon. New doctor immediately requested a UT and discovered I have cysts all over my ovaries! I was diagnosed with PCOS, and have probably had this all my life. Had this first doctor at Ponderosa followed up with my UT request or bothered to refer me to someone who could help, I could have prevented so many problems. I currently have followups scheduled to determine whether the cysts are cancerous. Shame on this staff. Never take incompetence as an answer for your health. This situation has me in tears knowing I could have had the help I needed.

My wife and I have used Ponderosa for over eleven years now. Weve always been very pleased with the personnel and their systems. Prescriptions, billing nor appointments have ever been an issue. They always answer their phone with a person during office hours and they have always followed up with test results and recommendations. Both my previous MD there (now retired) and his replacement were and are sharp as a tack. After passing out in my basement for a couple of hours, I got a same day appointment and was in to see a cardiologist the very next morning. My Ponderosa doctor said I needed a pacemaker and it ended up that I indeed did. The same MD had arranged for me to have a kidney stone investigated by a specialist then blasted within 48 hours of his diagnosis as well. I am not good with needles so they always draw my blood laying down in the examination room, no problem. We could not imagine a better group of physicians to work with.

My family has been with this office for over 11 years. Things were pretty good until about 3 years ago, and all has been downhill since! Finally have been frustrated enough to drop this Office. Refusal to set an appointment for a $139.00 bill. Have had several instances where one of our favorite Doctors refused to listen to us (the parents), and opted to only concern herself with the exaggerated complaints from our daughter. Our daughter is somewhat a hypochondriac, as are many children. Anyway, we were treated rudely, and I had quite a heated discussion with the office manager, who preferred to address the money concerns only, and would not address the other complaints. He refused to acknowledge that anything has changed - but we have noticed the problem becoming more prevalent since the office started to expand.

Ive patient of Ponderosa Family Physicians for 20yrs. Recently my trusted M.D. Janet Pedersen and nursing manager, retired. I felt cared for and very comfortable with all the support staff. Compassionate, individulize patient oriented care seems to be in the past. Wanting to see your physician is a bad word even during acute illness. Phone staff non accomadating and sound like judgemental repetitive robots. Mood advesarial very unfriendly, cruel and aloof. Unsettling after history with practice. Experienced change in atmosphere in January. Not a one-time encounter brought me to this sad conclusion. Quality of "Truly caring for - our patients," has taken a major dive. I guess Im a creature of habit spoiled with warm, friendly, empathetic patient relationships without conflict and labeled patient catagory slot # 333.

I have not been to Pondarose in 3 years after a doctor that I was seeing retired. I was skeptical about picking another doctor. However the receptionist suggested that I see Dr. Virginia Hrywank. I just love her I would give her 5 stars and recommend her. She looks at you holistically and got me into programs that is making me make better decisions about my health. I only seen her once. She made me feel very comfortable talking to her about my health. she listen to me did not rush me off and was genuinely concerned. The receptionist was kind polite very helpful prompt and guide me to the directions I needed to go with scheduling appointments and doing fasting for bloodwork they were very helpful. I find this place to be much more professional than when I was there three years ago.
