My wife, Tere Pizarro and I went to a trip to Puerto Rico on June of this year and left our 4 pds chihuahua puppy in a boarding on another vet for 10days. This dog is trained and lives in our apt. He never goes outside. When we came to pick him up after the trip, he started with diarrhea and that other vet gave him medication and a can food! He got very sick and my wife made an appointment with D.V.M. Anthea Joyner of South Lake Animal Hospital which did blood and stool samples and found that the dog had parasites on the intestine and that he had a colitis! She gave us 3 oral injection of medications to deworm the dog in 3 days and antibiotics for 10 days! Thanks to these vet the dog got healthy and loose stools stopped! Today we went for F/u and the dog Rico was evaluated by Dr. Roberto O. Rodriguez who gave him probiotics and more antibiotics! We will recommend this place without hesitation! This Hospital in our opinion is the best in Florida and around the world! We give thanks to God and the Virgin Mary for giving us the pleasure to meet this pet vet Drs and staff! They have excellent Customer service all the staff and D.V.M.

Switched to this vet when we moved from the Windermere area to Clermont. Our previous vet diagnosed our dog Cubby with Cushings disease and we had the disease under control with medication. After starting at South Lake the new vet didnt think he had the disease so he ordered lots of testing and adjusted his medication levels, ultimately causing our dog to regress and get sick again. When I talked with the Dr during visits it was like he never even read cubbys medical records and didnt believe me when I talked about his symptoms. We sent well over a $1000 in short time we went to this vet and our dog was only getting sicker. We switched back to our old vet which is about 35 minutes away but worth the drive; now working to get our dog balanced out on the correct level of medication. I gave two stars because the nurses are extremely nice and friendly.

The doctors are excellent, support staff outanding, but the recepcionist which is the first contact with the public, it is too rude, lack of basic manners e.g. Greeting the public with a simple, "good morning" and a smile...must be something basic for any line of business, (in person and on the phone). An example of her greeting is as follows, "what up, what do you want". I usually dont make coments about anything but there was more people there this time. She does not know me and she sounded so unprofessional, my face was rolling. Ms. Sabrina will benefit from a job that doesnt involve dealing with the public. Her angry demeanor should not be tolerated in the workplace (no room for that behavior). Please hire a profesional receptionist that truly represents you, your team and your clinic.

On Friday the 15th of March 2013. My Lab of 13 took a quick turn for the worst. Although She was not a client of the hospital they worked her in. She was seen By Dr Joyner.. x-rayed and had blood work done. We were then faced with the worst, that she had a large mass in her abdomen. The staff was so wonderful in how they handled our Daisy in her last few hours. They held the office open for the rest of my family to arrive to say their good byes to Daisy.Such kindness was shown to My family. We have 3 other dogs and Southlake Animal Hospital and Dr Jordan are our new Vet and hospital. Thank you Tracy Wade

The staff here is phenominal! When we lost our pet bird, the staff was so compassionate and sympathic, that I was truly touched. It helped me to know they did what they could to help her. Also, our pet dog has been going there for five years and receives excellent care there. I also use them to board my dog when we are on vacation. I always know he is in good hands with them.

Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are the most caring, compassionate, and professional people that can take care of your pet. We drive 35 miles from Orlando to take our dogs to him having a vet 1.5 miles from our home (and many along the way). We love them.

The doctors personality and bedside manner SUCKED....Took my dog in on Monday for shots and its Wednesday and we are taking him on an emergency visit to another vet... AVOID THIS VET AT ALL COSTS
