The Social Services was DEPLORABLE & full of LIARS including the one in charge of the deptment!! I also had the same experience with the Therapy Dept. The dept. head was deplorable & a LIAR !! However some of the certified aids as well as the assistants were okay. The only outstanding PTC was "Jill" who came in from the Paxton facility on the very busy days. She always went out of her way to make sure her patients were seen for the entire time alloted as well as getting the proper equipment for them to meet their needs!! Upon being thrown out of the facility after breaking my hip due to a faulty wheelchair, I went home without enough medications to make it thru the weekend & no scripts to get them filled, NEVER being instructed on how to transfer to different chairs or toilets, & me being a new double amputee with a fractured & pinned ( 3 pins ) hip, I could only sit in my power chair & cry!!! So if u or ur relative r planning to persue a residency at this facility they might tell u they have many Medicaid beds (but they r all taken) & after using up ur 100 Medicare days they will kick u out & move u to a facility NOT of ur choice so just be forwarned of this "slight of hand" trick that they DO pull. Good luck & happy healing at a facility that ISNT under-staffed, employees that r over-worked, & a Nursing Home only out for ur money!! Thank God there r nurses like "Gina" that still do care!!#

This is our first experience with letting our loved one have " outside" care. Kelly, the intake coordinator, showed up in the ER within minutes of being contacted. She represented her company to the fullest and there was no misleading our family as to what the process of rehabilition care would be or what we DESERVED, as far as the care for my grandpa was concerned. The facility and all of of its staff are truly joyful people. Nurse April was informative, efficient and as concerned for my Grandpa as i was. I saw her consoling a distraught patient in the hall and was impressed with the time she spent. I couldnt even find a bad smell in this place! I was very skeptical of ANY "nursing" facility and i can honestly say, i WAS wrong about my predictions. I couldnt be more happy about that! Thank you ManorCare for being the deciding factor.
