When I first walked in for my eye exam I witnessed a complaint from a customer asking why their glasses were not ready. I disregarded it and took it as an unfortunate mishap. It took over 3 weeks to get my glasses and when I went to pick them up they were both scratched and unfullied (not photochromatic). I took the glasses meanwhile my new lenses came in. I dropped them off when the new lenses came in and was told that I was going to be called the very next day to pick them. 3 days went by and no call. I ended up calling and asking for the manager and was told that he/she was busy and that they would call back. Well, no call back( I HAD TO CALL AGAIN). It took over a month to finally get my glasses. Serious lack of structure and management. Will never come back nor recommend this place to anyone.

Today I gave this place a try after giving up on them a few years back. They used to have a frames associate that was pushy. Today, after waiting 10-15 min, I had to go back home to retrieve the label from my contacts - which they neglected to tell me I needed in order to avoid an additional exam. When I went home to get the label, they called me to tell me they could not see me that day anymore due to the time. This is poor communication on many levels. I was told to bring my glasses, why not also tell me to bring the contact label? Then, to cancel on me when I go to retrieve that info?

Review Yelp reviews! This is a dishonest and incompetent organization. They lied about filing a claim on my insurance then charged me out of pocket. This appears to be a standard practice (again, review the large number of claims on Yelp). Escalation to "Mgmt" such as Dan Bean will be met with rude responses hiding behind obscure laws rather than any consideration for the customer. There are too many good Optometrists in the area that stand behind their business and treat their customers with respect and common courtesy.

Buying my new eye glasses from Drs May, Hettler & Assoc. was one of the best investment I have done. The eye glasses in this shop were amazing. They have an awesome variety to chose from. The glasses I was shown by their consultant and purchased were very stylish, glamorous and beautiful. I have gotten so many compliments on these glasses than anything I own. People often asked me where did I buy my glasses and how beautiful they are. Keep up the good work,

I had my first appointment with Dr Hettler this morning and I was very impressed. He has a warm personality, he is knowledgeable and he communicates very well. The exam was quick and efficient. Dr’s May and Hettler accepted my insurance and there was absolutely no pressure to sell me anything. Go to most any optometrist and the focus is always on the up-sell. Not here. I highly recommend this Dr’s May and Hettler. very professional with resemble prices

The Staff At The Front Desk Specifically The Girl With The Green Hair Need Coaching on Customer Service.. I Was Late To My Appt And Instead Of Letting Me Know The Breakdown On Tardies When I Showed Up She Said Just Have A Seat Well Have To Reschedule After I Called And Said I Would Be Late.. Very Unprofessional And I Drove A Significant Distance To Get To This Trifling Establishment.. In Turn Talked to A "manager" Who Backed The Bull

I discovered that the Beacon Mall location has a new manager named Angie. She was so helpful to me in the optical area while I was waiting for my exam. When it was time for my exam I met with Dr. Krotine. The exam went well but the Dr. found that I have astigmatism in my left eye so set me up with a new Rx. Overall, I got in and out quickly and they are conveniently located next to Starbucks coffee shop.

Nice staff on over the phone and at the desk on arrival. We were bringing a shy 5 year old for her first eye exam. The dr was very quirky and would only allow one parent to stay. He was okay but wouldnt recommend for younger children.

I have been seeing Dr. Hettler for 20+ years and have always gotten great service. His office staff is helpful in picking great glasses too.
